Crack propagation law of rock with single fissure based on PFC2D

In the study of pre-fabricated single-fissured rock, failure mode, mechanical properties and propagation law rock are affected by length inclination angle fissure. this study, artificially prepared marble-like rocks with different fissure characteristics were used as representatives, using PFC 2D software to establish a uniaxial compression model tests for fissures. The effects lengths angles on mode crack initiation rock-like structures systematically studied, revealing mechanism macroscopic behavior containing single fissures in process initiation, propagation, at micro-level. results show that: 1) Failure sample is mainly controlled fragmentation degree length. 2) stress, damage peak stress samples during loading deformation increase angle, decrease decreases angle. 3) Crack characteristics: low ( α < 45°), position has certain offset center prefabricated fissure, or starts from tip At high ≥45°), initiates forms “dispersed” distribution. 4) shear cracks, obvious aggregation band formation. zone gradually weakened expanded direction dispersion.
